Bernadette Laidlaw

Clinical Associate
Psychotherapist

I started my career as a psychiatric nurse in 2003 and have worked in various NHS mental health services since then. I have experience of working with individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health problems, helping them understand their experiences and patterns of behaviour, and working towards improvements in their quality of life.

I trained as an interpersonal psychotherapist gaining practitioner status in 2011. This is my main therapeutic modality – I believe our relationships can have a significant impact on our mental health, both positively and negatively. I also use CBT techniques as well as trauma therapy, including EMDR.
