New Service!

Spring Service Update!

It’s been a typically busy winter into spring at The St Andrews Practice, and with a (mercifully) marginally slower period that always comes with the end of the university semester, there’s finally time for a breather and a quick service update.

  1. HIS Inspection

The new year started with a bang as we geared up for our first regulatory inspection from Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS). It was a substantial and rigorous process which involved a lot of pre-inspection self-evaluation. The inspection itself lasted a full day, with analysis of a wide range of policies and procedures, audit and evaluation, client and staff files, clinical governance and  staff the inspector reflected in her report that we are  delivering good the key areas of service delivery, and our clients gave us some great feedback. It felt like a fair reflection of our current stage as a service. All in, the process gave us a chance to pause and reflect on what we have achieved as a team, how we all contribute to good clinical care, and consider what we could do better to make sure we are always aiming to provide the highest standard of care.

You can read the full report and gradings on the HIS website here:

And last but definitely not least…..

  1. OUR NEW SERVICE!

Having grown short of space at our practice in St Andrews, a second service has been on our minds for a while now. In just over a week, we are launching our second mental health and neurodiversity service, The Invertay Practice. This week we have been moving into a fantastic space at Monifieth Health Centre in Angus. We have five clinic rooms, office space, some lovely floor to ceiling windows that look over treetops, and even a lift! We are looking forward to getting to know the local community in Monifieth and the surrounding areas of Angus. We are also within easy access from Dundee and the surrounding areas. Photos and more info to follow very soon!
